Just recycling things to make it look like they are being tough or whatever.

I forget whether it was posted here or an IP Cam forum, US companies were importing basically CKD Hikvision cameras and reassembling them in USA to sell them to MLE customers

So refusing to buy Russian gas directly but reverse purchase Russian gas from other European countries that resulted in higher price. That's very smart of Poland.

I don't think barring Russians from buying EU real estate would hurt Russia in fact it might help Russia. But it should alleviate some housing price pressure within EU.

Funny thing is. If the Supreme Court does anything but the leaked opinion then the credibility will be completely shattered. The perception of the Supreme Court surrendering to public pressure will completely destroy any trust in the institutions.

It's damned if you do, damned if you don't at this point. The leaked opinion was a major blow.

Go through with leaked opinion? A hit to East Asian and European immigration. Those with a choice don't go where they will experience substantially less freedom. Liberal white talents will also leave, become apathetic if they can't and cause instability in the worst case scenario.

Don't go through with it? Supreme court is confirmed as a political organization that they denied they've been, but has been no info towards for decades.

Not sure how much trust there is since the entire court is bias. Each side hopes a judge will retire/die when their prefer party is in power.

The first tranche of sanctions were not far reaching as the ones they are proposing.

This will essentially destroy Hikvision in much of the world as they have secondary effect.

They ere going scorched earth on the company. Anyone that works with Hikvision will be sanctioned.

I expect demolition of its US/EU sales. Magnitsky-type sanctions are closely followed by the EU as well

Yeah and I don't think china has any response to this at all. That's why the US keeps doing it. No repercussions.
