This is not really news per se, but recently my country is currently undergoing a severe Covid wave. We were lacking testing capacity until China offered to ship in temporary testing labs. Here they are now being installed: View attachment 76224

You cannot imagine how relieved I am now, I was scared shitless because we were getting cases upon cases a day whilst lacking testing capacity! Now my gov't will get a clearer picture. If there was an article, I would've posted but so far no local news in my country reported it, not even a mention of the equipment being shipped, just good old Whatsapp rumours which became true.

So thanks!
Here it is now being reported, in case some don't believe me :) :

America’s dominance for the past 30 years is so great that having a competent foreign strategist is not necessary.
I heard a commentator describe it all very succinctly the other day.
To paraphrase "The West does not do Politics or Diplomacy anymore, its simply Spin and PR"
I absolutely agree and we can see exactly what that means when the formless puff of 24 hours news come into contact with hard reality, as it has in Afghanistan.

The funny thing is I don't think Lithuania is doing any of this for strategic reason. It is merely for virtue signaling. They are "feel good"types.
Their whole membership in NATO is for virtue signalling.
Basically to poke Russia in the eye to say "we won the cold war".

They don't have much military to speak of, if anything they now fully dependent on NATO for their military rather than making contributions. Same with Latvia and Estonia.

As an aside:
Russians could let this go because Lithuanians are their own people. However when NATO tried to push into Ukraine it was too far because Ukrainians are Russian-people. Imagine Taiwan joining NATO.
