I am concerned for the safety of non combatants, women and children. I just hope things go well for the people in that seemingly cursed land.

Hope they get a chance to live normal boring lives. What's worth noting is a lot clamoring to go to western countries. Isn't that a bad bet considering the racio-cultural-linguistic barriers and other hurdles? I thought central Asian countries ( Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan etc) would be better.

Well, would you expect the western MSM to do anything differently if it was Russia or China who were in their currently pathetic situation?

On a side note, I wonder if earlier reports of the airport being under fire were just the Americans shooting warning shots like crazy.

It might change when more facts become clear, but the wsj is also reporting it as gunfire

You guys can call me a cold bastard, but I don’t feel much pity or compassion for these lot, since they are basically the Afghan version of the HK roaches and Hanjian who willingly and gladly sided with foreign occupiers to oppress and murder their fellow countrymen for 20 years.
