When will they grasp that the world doesn’t revolve around their island?
This article is giving too much credit towards American "China Studies". Those China studies are riddled with ideologues who paint China as USSR v2.0 and produce biased graduates with unrealistic beliefs and ideas. This is largely because those "China Studies" and indeed almost all American foreign studies are centered around ethnocentric ideas. That is why although American foreign policy makers include many such former graduates of foreign policy schools of thought, they are by and large a clueless, stumbling, bumbling collection of incompetents. Fyi, I find SCMP by and large part of the Western brainwashing complex, albeit a little less obvious.
Well, we are responding to an article which presented US justifications for a nuclear strike against China and acceptances of the human consequences thereof. There is that!
