Does anyone know if China has cured its swine flu problem so they don't require as much beef as a protein substitute? I've been talking to my fellow farmers and they tell me their beef exports to China have dropped tremendously with some saying the meatworks they supply are exporting anything from 32-36% less.

I do remember reading a article some time ago that china's swine population was quickly recovering and the industry as a whole was rising again.

Apparently a swine flu vaccine was developed late last year and the problem basically doesn't exist anymore. Pig numbers are expected to fully recover by early next year.

It would take another year or two before pork prices come down to a reasonable level. But technology is making a great difference in containing the swine virus.

It really is a tense moment. People in Western countries are lashing out at China - people who feel trapped in a corner are more likely to lash out at their perceived source of torment. This is especially true since people have been literally entrapped by covid. Thankfully there has no been no martial action that caused these troubles, such as in 1989 or the Cuban missile crisis. Hopefully, things will pass. What is worrying is the growing chorus of right-wing commentators demonizing China, which has spurred a wave of anti-Asian violent crime. We've seen this with Tucker Carlson, Senator Marsha Blackburn aforementioned and Sky News Australia among others. There is a growing number of Asians in Western countries who are planning to return to their home countries due to the racialization of their identity. This is not good, since transnational cooperation is win-win for all.

When was the last time a Chinese diplomat's tweet was deleted? Hell, when was the last time any diplomat's tweet was deleted? It may have happened, but it's hardly common.
Bro, you're a master of the red herring. You're reshaping every topic every time someone disagrees with you, aka hit-and-run argumentation.

Example: bizarrely changing the object of criticism from YouTube to Twitter, saying US federal judges do not represent US because a federal judge is not a country

I have to give it to you, you're the most masterful Red Herring baiter in the world.
