One US marine has died and eight others are missing after an amphibious assault vehicle (AAV) accident off the coast of southern California.

I'm wondering if it is possible to add inflatable flotation devices inside amphibious warships. When the vehicle has capsized and reaches a certain depth they can automatically activate and potentially save the crew members.
