Sadly, as I predicted in another thread, it looks like Trump might be seeing the personal political gain to be had in further inciting the riots with a ridiculously over-reaction that is putting significant pressure on the democrats to oppose his crack down. That will then allow Trump to pigeonhole them as pro-rioters and anti-law and order.

When the inevitable lawsuits start going against him, we can pull out the troops and hobble the police and let America burn until October all the while blaming the continuing lawlessness and COVID19 second wave on the protestors, democrats and China.

He can then do a ‘enough is enough’ horse and pony show and crack down again harder than ever come late October just in time for the elections. Only then majority of Americans will probably support harsh police crackdowns by then. It will energise his base just in time for the elections, give him a bump with neutrals, and as the cherry on top, the large number of people the police will be rounding up by then will be overwhelmingly democrat voters, who will be too busy being in police lock up awaiting trail and/or in hospital to vote.

If he times it right and launch his crack down just before postal votes could be cast, he might also be able to get a voter fraud card if he can cherry pick a few examples of people’s postal votes coming in when they are in police cells and/or hospital at the time the post arrived. Won’t stand up in a court of law, but will be a powerful card for the media to play.

Wonder if this wakes Australians up as to what type of country they've been following. The US really can't afford to lose any allies now LOL

filmed by a protester, an officer can be seen hitting Ms Brace on the back with a baton.

News anchors back in the studio can be heard asking Ms Brace if she and her cameraman are okay, and she later replies: “We’ve just had to run about a block as police moved in, we’ve been fired at with rubber bullets, my cameraman has been hit.

“We’ve also seen tear gas being used. You heard us telling that we were media, but they don’t care. They are being indiscriminate at the moment.

They were quite violent and they do not care who they’re targeting at the moment.”

: “The attack on our reporter and cameraman in Washington today is nothing short of wanton thuggery.

“They weren’t in anyone’s way, just simply doing their job. To be belted with an armoured shield and then our reporter cop a truncheon in the back is abhorrent.

“The prime minister has informed us he’s been in touch with our embassy in Washington to have the matter urgently investigated. We are making our own complaints through the appropriate channels.”

Foreign minister Marisa Payne told ABC radio the government has asked its embassy in the US to register its concerns with local authorities in Washington about the apparent assault.

The incident is the latest in a string of police attacks on members of the press covering the demonstrations erupting across the US, in protest over police brutality against people of colour and the murder of

It is hilarious how anything that the US wishes on China they get it back ten fold. They were so happy about the Covid outbreak in China then had the largest outbreak in the world, they were trying to capitalize on riots in Hong Kong and ended up with a nationwide unrest lol

Priceless moment of insight into the level of puppetry the US has over the Canadian government.

This is why Meng’s case will never be justly or fairly handled by Canada.

They are just dragging things out in the hopes that China and America can come to some sort of deal so the Americans would let the Canadians release her so they don’t have to actually send her to the US and suffer the inevitable response from China.

Didn't know India's economy was so badly in the gutter. I thought it was faring reasonably well compared to other countries...

India’s Credit Rating Cut Puts It One Step Away From Junk

(Bloomberg) -- India’s credit rating moved one step closer to junk after Moody’s Investors Service downgraded the nation to the lowest investment grade level and surprised economists by keeping it on a negative watch.

Moody’s reduced the long-term foreign-currency credit rating to Baa3 from Baa2, with the outlook implying it could cut the rating further. The action brings its rating in line with the BBB- assessment from S&P Global Ratings and Fitch Ratings Ltd.

The economy is facing its first contraction in more than four decades and a fiscal deficit blowout as the coronavirus pandemic spreads. Moody’s said India’s growth and credit profile were deteriorating even before the virus outbreak and those risks will become more pronounced now.

Wow, longest pause in history. It's like an embarrassing silence when you are on a dinner date.

But then what did you expect from someone that blacked his face on the way to a university party! A lot of critical thinking there Mr T.

Well Wolf, it's easy for you to say since you guys are on the other side of the pond. For us, we're right next door. The Prime Minister needs to do what he needs to do to safeguard the interests of Canada, and that includes not offending the thin-skinned Donald.

The way I see it, that pause spoke volumes. While Jean Chretien might have refused to follow Bush into Iraq, Bush was not a crazy sociopath like Donald. If the Donald can unleash the US military against his own people, what do you think he would do to Canada?

I'm certainly not opposed to Canada growing some backbone, but only a fool would poke a hornet's nest on purpose!

What a sad state of affairs, in the words of Nancy Pelosy "what a beautiful sight"! If this was in Beijing, the MSM will be all over this like a bad rash.

Meanwhile, Protestors peacefully protesting. Now that's a beautiful sight!

Could you imagine the headline news around the western world if this happened in Hong Kong. As it is , it's barely got mentioned as a foot note in most of the MSM.

Well Solarz, I feel your pain. The last time Trudeau upset Trump it didn't end too well. Didn't Trump publicly put him down by calling him Two-faced to the world media?

It's a shame Canada is do dependent on US, so much so, it doesn't really have any foreign policy of its own. It's akin to a vassal state. This is why I do not have much hope in the way of Meng' s court theatre.

All he's hoping for it's US and China settle quickly and he can save face by letting Meng go without upsetting both. Otherwise there's going to be whole lot of pain that's not his making. The price of being a Vassal state.
