How come China's national security forces allow this guy to spread his propaganda in Chinese highschools?
If they allow that brain-dead retard Pettis, it's no wonder they allow this guy. It's all about signalling.
They want the information coming out of China to make it understated and convoluted strategically.
1. It's a for-profit private school for the children of rich hanjian.
2. If you watch many of his lectures, you'll find that it actually teaches the students that the collapse of America, Europe, and the West is coming, even though most of them are attending this $40k USD tuition a year school because their parents want them to go to college in the US. The children of rich hanjian are being given another chance to learn the truth and change their path before it's too late.
Pettis is arguably waging information warfare and psychological warfare against the West. He's right up there with Gordon Chang, Peter Zeihan, Jordan Peterson, etc.
If you think about it, Jiang is like Chang 2.0. While Chang only preached China's impending doom, Jiang preaches both the West's impending doom but also that he thinks China is "hopeless". This is a more nuanced take that will basically capture the people who still align with a more moderate version of Chang's message, but are also doomers about their own Western countries. Including the Gen Y, Z, and alpha versions of Chang's boomer audience.
This guy and his startup were acquired as a big bet to help Meta catch up to ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, and Gemini. This restructuring could mean they have given up on this guy and his acquired startup. They won't catch up or will consider other options to do so.

The Dutch know ASML’s future is in jeopardy with China being able to make competing lithography machines. They have nothing else after that and they know it.
Most are going to sanctioned companies, for now, like YMTC, Jinhua and SMIC. So I don't think they are looking to compete directly with ASML in China, for now.

What one has to be aware of is suspicious figures who build rapport with the audience using sound logic and well-researched arguments. Once you've established an audience, rather "followers", they will believe your content in the future without verification. Then, suspicious figures, if they have ill intent, will insert propaganda or excerpts of whatever their true motives are into the content in a very subtle manner and build on that. Injection of small ideas gradually.

ALL Non-STEM programs at elite Western schools are brainwashy. In some elite schools, brainwashing is mandatory as 25-50% of your course load even in STEM programs (at least at the undergraduate levels).
