Yeah. Imagine how Disney would do "Journey to the West" with an ensemble Hollywood cast. They might put in some token Asian casts to tick the DEI boxes and avoid the whitewashing controversy.

Simu Liu as Bull Demon King. Awkwafina as Princess Iron Fan. Rachel Zegler as Baigujing. Halle Bailey as one of the Spider Demonesses.
Those Hollywood reporters would praise the film as magical, mystical, fresh, and so diverse. Then Disney wonders why the film doesn't sell in China.
