NATO wouldn't have disbanded and as long as Russia exists as a sovereign country it will never disband. The goal is to contain Russia (and China to a lesser degree) or subordinate it to the west's whims.
Please stop comparing Venezuela with Ukraine, they are not the same thing. Despite its corruption problem Ukraine is something of an industrial country and has a military that's somewhat capable. Venezuela is just one level above failed state. I do agree that the Russians bit off more than they could chew and are looking foolish even though many folks are still trying to spin their current misadventure.
