Cutting off rare earths to the West would give an extended period of time (close to a decade of effort to replace Chinese monopoly on various critical components) for China to develop its military uncontested while adversaries are dealing with supply chain crunch. The US cannot start anything if they don't have the magazine depth nor replenishment to last more than a few days of combat. 25% of global THAAD interceptor stocks were depleted against Iran in 12 days. Crippling enemy initiative while creating a window to act with impunity. Does that count for intimidation under your framework?

Unfortunately for them, the USA will never recover, if only because the current and future generations are as dumb as hell and those with the no how would rather run away then to they and restore a nation lead be stupid morons who honestly think they are Einstein.

They are no Einstein. Epstein is more like it.

If the chair enthusiasts are not so delusional they’d be negotiating for reduced reeducation sentencing than making this or that demands from the PRC. Staying alive after perpetuating so many heinous subhuman acts should be a privilege.
