In case anyone else gets the "China is all alone in the dispute against Japan" feel and don't believe me when I say Takaichi is using bots:

View attachment 165649
2000-4000 yens for each YouTube video supporting Japan and/or criticizing China

Now that's a good use of taxpayer money, I hope the high rice price was worth it.
What a waste of money…… aren’t they in debt enough, now they want to pull these cheap ass pranks that done even pay well

Well, in reality China has been building their military in the case they need to fight a war with the US, that alone means that everyone else come second or third. Anyone interfering it will get crushed. That is the reality.

In general, sure, but there are a lot of Japan specific investments that isn’t needed if the target was just America. All the long range amphibious warfare assets especially are totally irrelevant against the U.S.

Sure, they could be useful against Taiwan, and China was more than happy to not correct anyone when they assumed that, but that’s equivalent to buying a 50bmg to hunt bunny rabbits. Sure you can use it, but it would be comically overkill if that’s all you need it for.

I dunno stat wise everyone keeps talking about India rivaling China in manufacturing but I think it is more likely to be Vietnam.

You might hear Indians talk about nonsense about how they manufacture (aka assemble iphones) right now but guess who's theor biggest rival in that? Vietnam. In fact for ipads and all the other apple side products, it's actually Vietnam who assembles it in the highest amount. Trump knows this which is why he traiff Vietnam for doing China 's bidding.

We talk about not underestimating India which I get. But why do a disservice to underestimate Vietnam? They actually have more suppliers than India funny enough.

Btw I remember some dude from gavekal says by end of 2025 the rupee will hit 90 rupees to 1 usd. Jai Hinds probably called him a retard or china shill. Yet it's 89.37 to 1 usd right now.

Developing | Japan’s Sanae Takaichi reaffirms Taiwan is a part of China

Japan’s position on Taiwan remains unchanged, Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi said on Wednesday, referring to a 1972 commitment that led to the normalisation of ties between Beijing and Tokyo.
“The Japanese government’s basic position regarding Taiwan remains as stated in the 1972 Japan-China joint statement, and there has been no change to this position,” Takaichi told the Japanese parliament.

According to the 1972 statement, “the government of the People’s Republic of China reiterates that Taiwan is an inalienable part of the territory of the People’s Republic of China” and the Japanese government “fully understands and respects this stand”.

Doesn't address the issue of military intervention.
No actions taken to pull back support for separatism via NGOs and direct interaction with the Taiwan government.
Nothing said on issues stemming from ownership of Taiwan like Diaoyu Island.
Even the statement is barebones without a hint of apology.

-5/10 attempt, lacks form, purpose and sincerity. Hope Beijing pretends she was talking to herself because this is the equivalent of a muttered apology of a sore loser.
