Food is legitimate, to get sushi that's fresher and cheaper but you'd have to be an extremely gluttonous person to think it to be worth it to fly to the other side of the world to eat.
Lol, you must not have a lot of American born Asian friends, but frankly neither do I for that same reason. Like of all the ways marginalized communities in history have found ways to carve their own identities, from music to rhyming slangs, American born Asians decided to be the people who would totally hire a guide in a third world country to take them through dirt roads unexplored by navigation software in order to get to some remote village that some food blogger said makes bomb ass noodles or bragging about flying from the SF Bay Area to LA every weekend just to eat Korean food.

God Xi Jinping, you got a lot on your plate nowadays, but at the very least include liberating us mentally somewhere on your list even if its at the very bottom!

No, I do have several ABC friends. We say things like it would so bomb to go to X country and eat X food but really, we'd only do it if we had a girl with us whom we were trying to impress or if the food was a sideshow to the expectation of getting laid. Of my friends and I, nobody would go through the trouble of flying to any country alone or with a bunch of male friends just to eat and "appreciate culture". That's why I said what I said.

I actually find the fob Chinese to be more willing to do things without the intention of getting laid. I had a fob friend ask me if I wanted to join them in a trip to Lake Lanier. I asked who's coming. He gives me like 4-5 names so I said those are all men, so which women are coming? He says it's just the guys and they all heard it's a pretty fun lake. Blew my mind. I said, "Lakes are not fun; women are fun." They didn't ask me back out again LOL

The Japanese elites are appearing to double down on WW2 revisionism. And the West are still treating this like a casual issue.

Brighton have apologised for "any offence caused in China" by a post on social media that featured an image of a Japanese World War Two soldier.

The post from the club's academy featured Japan international Kaoru Mitoma and a youth player posing with a football card featuring Hiroo Onoda.

Lieutenant Onoda was

I didn't know Brighton has fans in China. Nevertheless, the Chinese are not gonna let this go so easily. Kaoru Mitoma had definitely done that on purpose. As of today, he has not yet apologize. Any football match between China and Japan is gonna become really politically charged in the future.

Cases like this are certainly not helping mend any ties between China and Japan. This is a Japanese football superstar, doubling down on neo-fascism. It seems like the current generation are either wholly ignorant, or are knowingly part of the revival of Japanese fascism.

Yet we have fools like PM Lawrence Wong in Singapore who thinks that China should just move on because he and his faction of Singaporeans have done so. Neo fascism is not something to be a casually dismissed. It had resulted in the Ukraine and Gaza Wars. China was not overreacting, they have been watching an ugly pattern with Japan, and they know the dangers these things could lead to.

It's a sad thing that no country seemed to support China in this matter. It's like everyone secretly enjoy Japan provoking China.
