That is so not the point anymore; that was the point when Trump was doing it. Now you have a governer who thinks a tariff is some general charge or punishment that can be levied on a person moving from out of state to Texas. Then a witty comeback charges that it's basically like slapping someone whenever they talk.
americans might see this as 'trump bad' but that's just the sugarcoating to get them to reinforce the idea that 'china is still yet worse'
