Know how Trump operates this is a very bad move. Concessions only embolden him, and he will push for more until there is nothing more to concede. Say what you want about the Canucks but at least they are unified and fighting back.
Trump's "international racketeering" might generate some
upside for a Texan like yourself assuming you are domiciled in the US, at least part of the time, and/or happen to be the beneficiary of tax liable assets located in the US, and/or otherwise happen to be an US taxpayer in some form or capacity.
To be fair, it makes sense for Uncle Sam to want to collect what he believe he is owed as the "monopoly on violence" within his hegemonic domain even if we're to jokingly frame it as
racketeering or
extortion. Taxing colonial entities is nothing new, and if anything, it is an essential tradition of
mercantilism.

How about we (China and Israel) continue to have little to no people to people exchanges as we don't want their barbarian behavior anywhere near us. And Israel can continue to send us intel on America in exchange for not getting turbofucked by a bunch of swarthy Islamic fighters.
For all China cares, Israel can have the whole levant, as long as they help us with spying/being subversive on US. With the Ukraine gambit, China has secured all future oil/hydrocarbons needs. The real "oil" that makes the world go round is electronics and industrial goods. Those are not found in the middle east, but only in Asia. Asia should be where China has its main interests, whoever has undisputed rule of Asia also controls those critical supplies, and therefore rules the whole world.
