EUV is just a product of mistaken globalism on China's part. No single country owns all the patents for it, China's share of IP is as big as the other major holders, and China is closer to being the sole owner today than US is. In my view, it was a mistake to rely on degenerate globalisation of supply chains to begin with. For the future, China should seek to consolidate all bottlenecks, and only portion out small, commercially unfeasible productions to other countries, like with the drone and EV industry.
