I wouldn't be too concerned with what he forgets or remembers, the primary takeaway from blogs like Richard Hanania's is to get a first hand glimpse into how a majority of westerners, not just the alt-right, think.

They can't see through someone who thinks and acts objectively; as they can only see from the lens of bravado. This also makes sense when extrapolated to Indian thinking.
I also want to share the below study, which finds that Easterners are more risk intolerant but more willing to accept ambiguous conditions than their Westerner counterparts in the gain domain. In the loss domain, however, Easterners and Westerners have a similar attitude toward risk and ambiguity, which has interesting implications for the TW scenario.
