I go to an Ivy League school. Liberal arts degrees from Ivy League schools are worth less than toilet paper. Most of the liberal arts students here and at other Ivy League schools are pampered, conceited imbeciles. A former friend of mine from high school who graduated from Harvard currently works for a prominent conservative think tank in Washington D.C. and his opinions on US-China relations are deplorable. He's Chinese but he genuinely believes that the United States has been a champion of human rights in the Middle East, among other things.
What "HISTORY BOOKS" did that American dude (who simply happens to be a banana ) read? Perhaps, the answer to that question is that he simply sees himself as a true-blued blooded American.

Some of these NGOs people are really losing their marbles over their failure in Ukraine and the expansion of BRICS lol.

The true sign of influence, when people name a doctrine after you.
A true sign of mental retardation, when you do it yourself.

I guess it’s not a matter of books, but seemingly a perpetual cycle of groupthink. People that want to get into those jobs have to get into the think tanks. You’re only getting into those think tanks if you’re super hooked on Red, White and Blue Kool-Aid. Imagine being in a job interview and saying “I think the CCP is doing a pretty good job…”

Moving production to Mexico and other countries also creates jobs and skills there that can be utilized by other firms. once skills and infrastructure developed than its free market of labor.
Mexico currency is strong and Mexico is highly likely to be first country in world that will have $1Trillion of goods trade with US.
service trade like tourism is separate. Mexico success will greatly increase US soft power.

Mexico has been screwing things together for Americans for ages. Soft power? Did you hear the American politicians that think a military invasion to stop their own drug problem is a fine idea?

This is the exact problem I had with the wests, once your interests are not aligned with them, they want to divide your country.
Lol... this is actually what the Wests so-called "Rule-Based" order, once your interest not aligned with them, you automatically become illicit and a threat and they want to divide you up.

South Korea: First time?

He should count his lucky stars if his country's treatment of its presidents is anything like the South Koreans.

Need I remind that this is what used to happen, and could still happen?

Man, this is really pissing me off!

CCP should deport those reporters at SCMP!

Deport them! Deport them to Britain!

Good.

I suspect the Chinese govt is probably using SCMP as a lightning rod for anti-China Western assets and dissidents. Especially those still on Chinese soil. The SAR govt could have easily clamped down on SCMP citing national security reasons, but nothing serious was done.

It's kinda like the police letting a drug gang do it's thing, while monitoring that gang to observe the true extent of their network. SCMP is probably one way for China to observe Western intelligence activities working on the Chinese soil. Who are these SCMP journalists or contributors? Who feeds them these narratives? Who are their hidden handlers? That journalist's husband is an MI6 asset, we can nab him when the time comes. That other journalist was regularly dining with some US consulate people, track them. SCMP quoted some dissidents on the mainland, follow them, and investigate their network.

Maybe the Chinese government wants to have garbage like SCMP to be kept operating in HK. Where it can keep the mainland insulated from their BS. Draw out those Western-aligned dissidents from around China. And then keep a close eye on them and their networks.
