What is more interesting in regards to the 850 missing Maui (revised to 1000-1100 an hour ago). Is that many of the missing 850 could be children according to the governor. There is a rumor that 1 in 4 Maui children may be missing.

that more than 100 residents were killed in the Lahaina wildfire. Green noted that there is a possibility that many of the children who are missing were at home due to school closures when the fires happened.

Maui Mayor Richard Bissen said Monday that

, noting that this is a decrease from the 2,000 missing individuals who were initially reported. Bissen also said 27 of the 114 confirmed deceased victims have been identified.
“That is possible. And that’s — that’s what we’re sharing here internally, that it’s possible that there will be many children,” Green told Brennan. “This is the largest catastrophe and disaster that’s ever hit Maui, probably that’s ever hit Hawaii outside of wartime events.”

Taiwan will receive its first batch of M1A2T Abrams tanks from the US in 2024. The first 38 main battle tanks will be delivered in 2024. 42 will follow in 2025 and another 28 in 2026.

A group of Taiwanese servicemen will receive training in the United States before returning to Taiwan to become instructors.

The purchase of Abrams tanks is part of Taiwan's efforts to bolster its defensive capability on the north coast and strengthen the island's defense. The United States approved the sale of 108 tanks for 2,200 million dollars in 2019.

China accuses the US of turning Taiwan into an "munitions depot" by providing multi-billion dollar military aid. However, the actions of Washington and "Taiwanese separatist forces" will not deter Beijing's desire to unify with the island, the Asian giant said.

⚔️ Taiwan plans to increase defense spending by 3.5% to a record 606.8 billion local dollars (19 billion US dollars) in 2024, according to the budget proposal submitted by the government to the island's leader, Tsai Ing-wen.

➡️This new spending figure represents the largest amount Taiwan has ever allocated to defense and is around 2.5% of GDP.

➡️If approved by Tsai Ing-wen, the defense budget will be referred to the Legislative Yuan, the island's Parliament, for a vote.

The Taiwanese military's main arms supplier is the US.
In mid-July, US Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Mark Milley said that Washington and its allies need to speed up arms supplies to Taiwan to increase its capacity of self defense.

"The rate at which we, the United States, or other countries, assist Taiwan in improving its defense capabilities, I think probably needs to accelerate in the coming years," Milley said. According to the senior military officer, the island needs weapons such as air defense systems and those that can attack ships from land.

This is gross.

Back in the day, there was this Iran-Contra scandal in America.

Where that patriot, Oliver North, made arms sales to Iran and with that money it was used to finance Nicaraguan death squads trained by the CIA.

Unbelievable.

To see a headline like that.

American century is probably over. It is hard to recover from something like this, when you are that hated.
Don't forget the closely related CIA-Contra-Crack Cocaine scandal where the CIA set up drug trafficking operations in Latin America to manufacture and smuggle drugs into the US and explicitly targeted Black American neighborhoods for the sale of the drugs. The drug profits were then used to fund the Contra death squads.

The Contras are long gone now, but the descendants of the drug trafficking organizations set up by the CIA are still very much alive and kicking today in the form of the drug cartels.

Why do these MSM is so obsessed with At what cost. If things didn't go as they planned, At What Cost. If they were envy of your achievement, At What cost.

Because they are actually really thoughtful and considerate for the people who pay their wages.

You see, they purposefully label sour grapes articles as such in the title, so the CIA anti-China-fake-news-fund assessors don’t need to waste their time reading the whole article before approving the payout.

China says African countries want industrialisation over infrastructure

African countries want China to shift its focus from building infrastructure on the continent to local industrialisation, China's top Africa diplomat said on Tuesday at a briefing on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in South Africa.

"African integration is already escalating and many African countries have asked China to consider a shift of our focus," Wu Peng, director-general of China's department of African affairs at its foreign ministry, said.

Wu said the change was needed especially considering the Africa Continental Free Trade Agreement, which was launched at the start of 2021 and is intended to enable African countries to trade tariff-free in future.

China will talk through its plans for African industrialisation with African leaders on Thursday at a special roundtable on the sidelines of the Aug. 22-24 meeting of the BRICS bloc.
