Europe isn't Asia and vice-versa. The assumption that an 8 nation alliance redux against China will work again is just plain NUTS. There's a lot of Chinese Nationalists chomping at the opportunity to right what they perceived as wrongs committed by the Europeans and especially Japanese. These unfortunate but deliberate actions from these clowns will ensure a MAD world.

They can't be seriously thinking that such actions would lead China to be cowered into submission and acquesing to their rules based order a.k.a. follow by diktat/ open the Chinese market to be feasted by the western alliance. China has been a patient and mature country that's not been acting or acted in a violent manner befitting it's actual power. It has been mighty restraint despite all the provocative actions by the collective west and some other chihuahua countries like the PH. Don't give the Chinese people and pressure it's govt to act with a degree of control. Once the valve of violence is open, it'll be out of control for all of us.

The truth is that the US is not confident it will win a war with China and even if it manages to come out on top it would take so much damage its power would diminish. It also knows that time is not on its side when it comes to containing China's rise so the next best thing is to get the gang together and confront China cold war style, hopefully to frighten it into submission. That's what all the poking and sudden provocations via it's proxies is all about, using the Ukraine playbook to provoke China into attacking so they can say "Hey, look! China started this!" Russia is not a threat to Europe and hasn't been since its war with Ukraine, they know this but they keep talking up Russia because it is providing convenient cover and excuse. It's funny that China can see through this (most can really) and are doing just enough to keep the provocateurs at bay but not doing so much that it escalates things.

All of their "Indo-Pacific alliances" are basically reshuffling of Five-Eyes + random countries already allied with the US
So basically they are like those New York street hustlers doing three-card monte.

They tried to get ASEAN on board (and are still trying) but ASEAN, by and large, aren't interested. They suffered through one cold war, they are not ready to go through that again for the sake of maintaining US hegemony. Besides, they've worked so hard to get to where they are today and they don't want to throw it away. No sense confronting your neighbor, if shit hits the fan the US can leave meanwhile you're left holding the bag with a big ass angry neighbor. The Philippines is the only exception. The Russian-Ukrainian war was good for the US, it provided a good excuse to revitalize NATO and believe me they would have started the process of moving on to China but the Israel-Hamas war threw a spanner in the works. Its reputation has gone down so badly in the eyes of the the non white world that trying to confront China as aggressively as it would like won't go down well.

People should understand that the US won't stop trying to peg China back and it will turn into a dangerous animal as time goes. There are only two ways to defeat the US; 1) to fight it militarily and defeat it or 2) the dollar ceases to become the international currency of trade and the reserve currency of the world. As far as I can see, China is preparing for the former while aiming for the latter.

This my friend, is the state of german transatlantic conservatives. What in this special case is implied to Turkish, Arabic, Muslim people in Germany can also be applied to Asians and Black people.

He posted a video once on YT were he swore allegiance to Israel. And denounces non-Zionists Jews as fake jews (in German only)
