I havent read anything about this Naval ship but Gulf states contracts awarding have many other factors to consider like Aviation.
If Spain have any role in naval or other choppers or any other components in Aviation. it is highly likely going to win a contract. Aviation is the Most Important.
Saudi vision 2030 is depended on creating airline industry and when so much of European aviation is concentrated in Gulf. it is better to utilize or expand on it.
See this Qatar example. Ships and Choppers from same country.

You have to wonder if Elon did it on purpose. It could be just a tactic where India demanded something outlandish and then Musk pulled this. You know Indians are probably demanding everything be sourced in India especially the batteries and that will probably be more expensive for Tesla. A Tesla factory is probably more important to India than it is for Elon.

Don't know where to post this, but this American Enterprise Institute think tank is claiming that the Chinese MIC budget is larger than China claims. I think this is an attempt to discredit China and to get allies to militarize even further and provide an excuse to increase the budget of the failing US MIC.123123.JPG

That's the goal but how and where are those countries going to get their money to fund an increase military spending when their economies are going through a very shaky situation? Inflation resulting in housing crisis, rising food prices, food and other basic but most important necessities are more expensive. Not to mention health care costs are increasing while the care provided in countries with socialized health care are becoming a burden.

The question am going to pose to you is are the public in many Western countries going to sacrifice their standards of living for a bigger defense spending? Guns for butter because they can't have it both.
