There is no overall comparison done for particle pollution as EVs are not used on same scale on long distance as others but we are transitioning towards heavier vehicles whose torque management reduce lifespan of even premium tires. long term impact on transport infrastructure will be substantial. Toyota reduced weight of LC300 by 200kg, made the tire size narrower.. The vehicle that matter in Mideast.

see the push towards higher size and premium tires. revenues going up despite demand going down.

With regard to replacement tires, the economic slowdown, mainly in the US and Europe, gradually materialized, and tire demand slowed significantly in the fourth quarter. On the other hand, demand for passenger car and light truck tires remained relatively strong in areas such as high-rim diameter tires (18 inches or more) and premium brands for truck and bus tires in North America.

Demand for 18-inch and larger tires is steadily expanding. Inventory levels are back to normal in most regions except for winter tires in Europe.

The irony is that most of the people that died (let's not pretend that no one died) in Beijing were actually fighting for Communism.
The economic reforms in the 80's meant that people would for the first time be possibly fired, and without a job they would not have a home or healthcare (both provided by the workplace), they were suffering from widespread inflation (due to the lifting of price controls), and as a result food security became an issue. This was the main driver of the protests throughout the city and constituted most of the deaths. The students in the square were just a fraction, and relatively unscathed.

well it is becoming clear that the pivot is a self-defeating fallacy. when you reorient your resources to the pacific, you weaken the confidence of your allies and embolden your adversaries everywhere else. then they will do something and force you to recommit, sometimes even more resources than what would have originally required to just keep things quiet.

The west and Anglo America in particular is obsessed with China and asia. They will never leave Asia alone so long as they have this belief that they can enslave asians again.
