Hi hullopilllw,

You are right, but one could only hope, now forgive me for my incoming rant. Im speaking for the developing countries (The Philippine), the need for development is a matter of life and death for us. I may sound melodramatic , but any concrete aid and assistance is surely welcome from any country not pledges (most common term use by the west). We dont have the pleasure of time to play geopolitics with the big boys, all we wanted is to leave us alone if your not there to help us and stop intervening in our domestic affair.

Not sure are we reading too much into this, but outside US embassy in Beijing, Eagle eyed passes by noticed change of name with China missing from the new plaque.

Change of the one-China policy or complete change back to recognition of ROC?

Pompeo openly said he wants to regime change the CPC

my guess is they plan to put Tiawan in power of mainland China

This is the same Pompeo who posted a photo of his dog attacking Xi (toy Winnie the Pooh) so you are definetly not reading too much into it, they want to make Tiawan the true China

SCS hot war in October will also likely involve the TW issue, if they think they can bring down the CCP then they will give China to Tiawan to administrate under the guildance of Washington. Lets hope US has a civil war and breaksdown first

It's almost VJ day. Let's not forget Japan's brutal oppression of the peoples of China and Korea, and China's contribution to the final victory over Japan in WW2. Below is a just restored footage showing Chinese troops rescuing comfort women, including a famous Korean comfort woman who became a very important activist later, in Yunnan in September 1944:

Pompeo is continuously trying to get China into a war, all so that he anger China to be vilified in front of the world as a villain that the world would unite against. Well, just like all the other schemes that he and the cia tried to pull it, they will still fail. They better watch out since once there nation collapses into civil war (almost inevitable by this point), it will evoke open season on those bastards and given Pompeo is behaving like an American version of Joshua Wong, his days are numbered

He wants to get fielders for how much money he can bribe, and blackmail Ali/Xi/China for... but remember Trump is the sort of terrorists that always kills the hostages immediately after collecting the randsom....

At this point anyone will two brain cells to rub together should have figured out that Huawei, ZTE, DJI, TikTok, Bytedance, Alibaba, Baudi, etc has nothing to do with National Security, spying, backdoors, IP Theft, human rights, etc and everything to do with capping China's tech and economic ascension, geopolitics, US unipolar hegemony, white supremacy, etc

This extortion trick is getting old and soon people wont be fooled so easily again.

US believes in general a quick decouple benefits it short and long term, short term is obvious, but long term they believe if all these short terms actions combined together can keep China down and reverse Chinese progress then long term that is still a strategic win. They are betting all in...

I am interested in how much they are going to lose since not only are they unreliable as a trading partner but they don’t have much avenue to innovation, the money will lose the world reserve currency status due to the dollar being printer endlessly to keep these corporations alive ( when the corporations will normally being making mo eye if not for trump) and honestly, who wants to live in the USA now that it’s diseased ridden and covered in Poverty. All he is truly showing everyone around the world now is that we can do without the USA and everyone can still function. It’s short term pain for China but long term + crippling blow to the USA standing as a superpower and trustworthy partner. All of this is on Trump
