Tbf Russia has gathered quite a lot of troops near Ukraine.
It can't credibly say that this is business as usual
Something has got to give.

Its like, imagine China massing troops from different regions, mobilising them opposite Taiwan and then saying "nothing to see here folks"...

Ukraine would be dumb to believe that so many troops are massing next to it just for some military exercises

Yes, but as it was said, this is purely a reactionary move. It is NATO that keeps selling the Russian invasion story. It was NATO that has caused the practical partition of East and West Ukraine.

Russia doesn't need to invade unless the nationalist forces move in with all their new western supplied toys.

Mid March would be the worst. It’ll be a slosh fest through mud.
The invasion will not happen this winter but most likely will come in November 21, 2022... Winter in Ukraine is from December, January, and Febuary hence Russia doesnt fancy finishing them off in 2 weeks but rather over months hence next winter is an ideal target tho Russia will keep the build up and pressure for months and won't retreat hence there will likely be a nerve wrecking tension build up for the next 7 months..

Meanwhile in one of French well run colonies, Barkuna Faso a new power has risen. The people were apparently not so keen on rampant insecurity from AL Qaeda terrorists that's terrorizing the country and not equipping their military sufficiently to combat the threat. The French military debt trap I mean goodwill and investments has yet to bring any tangible signs of progress and stability. But hey at least France is not China.

The U.S. has created a scenario as follows: Russia attacks Ukraine - see, we told you so, Russia and Putin are bad. Russia doesn't attack Ukraine - see, we scared those bad Russians off. A success in influencing the target audience.
Biden is basically copying Trump's play book. Make things worse, then claim victory or improvement after things return to pre-crisis. Doing "great" things by doing nothing. I think we will see this kind of actions more and more.
