Don't worry Japan, we will pick up and finish where you left off.

At the same time, China shouldn't make the same mistakes as Japan.

From an economic perspective, for the past century, Japan has been much smaller than the US. Getting into an economic or military competition with the US was always likely to end in defeat, disaster or subjugation.

In comparison, a developed China can aspire to be 4x larger than the US economically, because China has 4x the population. In such a scenario, it's very difficult to imagine China not being the centre of the global economy or being a military superpower

So patience and hard work are the key elements here. The World Bank and CIA are already reporting China as having an economy 25% larger than the US

It is a show of weakness and cowardice. Imagine this thing happened to white people say in Africa they will send their gunboat in no time It is also perfect time and place to teach the Aussie a lesson. That is why nobody respect china. What is the use of those new toy FOR PARADE ONLY? It make me depress
Hey bud, is it annoying to some degree yes, but let's be rationale about this whole situation and not react and make some wild statement based on our emotional needs. I get where you're coming from but China's lack of intervention is a damn good thing for the world and region. The fact that's it's living to it's commitment of not copying the American way of running things or being a world police, brutality style by intervening and invading X,Y,Z countries just because it can.

Restraint isn't a sign of weakness, patience and respect for other countries sovereignty isn't deleterious to China's strength of military prestige nor it's inaction must be interpreted in anyway as cowardice.

@bajingan speaking of which, the Indians are proud to call themselves democratic BUT they way they humiliate their owned people is not democratic at all, they should ask themselves Where are your compassion to your fellow countrymen? their dignity as a human being.
Compassion in a democratic capitalist society, what is this socialism you're talking about.

Calm your horses, brothers; even the white anglo could do nothing when white farmers were being raped and butchered and driven off their farms in Zimbabwe and south africa.

When China makes its move, it is with a sense of finality; look at the NSL and HK for instance.
Oh I definitely agree with you and also with China is doing. My sentiments are just that and I for one am glad that China isn't acting and lashing out like an insecure litte chihuahua trying to bite at anything and anyone with reckless abandonment.

Strategic patience isn't for everyone's cup of tea, but the record of the Chinese government successes and long term thinking is unmistakably better than what most countries.

Having said all that, I would not be remiss to say that sometimes there's this burning feeling inside myself that wants to see China kick some behinds and show the world (western world) that the time of kicking China and Chinese down are f..ng over, and there's blood to pay period. This feeling stems from the constant negative news and experiences I see, read, and hear from other Asians/Chinese living in the west receiving violence and anti-China racist invectives just for being Chinese. Once in a while, you'd like these racist and self-hating Chinese to actually fear China not just in rhetoric but in reality so that for once these unfortunate individuals actually feel how to live in fear and trepidation just for being a racist c..ts and self-hating, anti-China hating Anglo loving Chinese c word.
