Not the best strategy in South East Asia. If Blinken expressed anxiety over China's nuclear stockpile to Japan or even South Korea and Australia, it is understandable. However, China is never going to nuke SEA even if there is an active flashpoint. By expressing concern over the Chinese nuke stockpile, Blinken inadvertently relayed hesitancy in confronting China when he should be rallying SEA to his side. It would've been better if he expressed anxiety over conventional military buildup like Chinese navy/air force.
