Have you ever wondered why China doesn't have allies in the sense of 5 Eyes or G7? It's because this strategy of alliances was attempted 2,200 years ago under Horizontal and Vertical Alliance systems during Warring State. It turns out that alliances are extremely unstable and difficult to keep together because members of an alliance generally don't have their interests exactly aligned, so the target of the alliance could use this to destroy the alliance from within and then defeat the alliance members one by one, often using the strength of the alliance against itself in the process. The State of Qin demonstrated this long ago and PRC is doing it again today, as you see with this deal.

If you consider Horizontal and Vertical Alliance as "Chinese diplomacy 1.0", since then China has come up with 2.0 (Tribute System) and today's 3.0 (Common Destiny of Mankind). The US is trying to use 1.0 to defeat 3.0, how likely do you think that is?

So basically, an Asian's life is only worth 15 months. I supposed it's progress compares to:

in 1820 there was a $5 fine or 2 weeks in jail for killing a black person, but NO fine and NO jailtime for killing a Chinese person in America.
201 years later, it's up to a 18 month sentence now........

Here is the news from Asian Dawn.

"Great" Britain is a right shambles at the moment. It's out of one of the biggest trading blocs in the world. And with U.S. not letting them in unless it's on U.S. terms. ie. Geopolitik. And as such, it's anti-China. Yet it still want some of China's growth. Gee.

What's happened to the much heralded trade deals with a much much smaller economies like Aus and NZ? and the hope for deals with "super power" India? Reality bites and it hurts!

The Lockheed Martin C-130 aircraft had recently arrived in the Philippines. It was one of two aircraft granted by the U.S. government's military financing program, according to a US government website announcement in February.
Sunday's crash comes weeks after a newly acquired S-70i Black Hawk utility helicopter crashed during a night flight about 60 miles north of the capital Manila. All six people on board died, according to CNN Philippines.
So, in just 1 week they lost a C-130 and a Black Hawk helicopter?....

Americans are selling them defective products or is this just bad luck..

@Gatekeeper Sir my condolence to the family, this tragic accident is preventable if the American provided us the latest C130J instead of a refurbish one. With little money to go around we were hamstrung to modernized all aspect of our military, this refurbished aircraft had just been delivered together with recent brand new Black Hawk helicopter that went down last week. Its a sad week for the AFP.

With a landmark China-EU investment deal in the balance, European ambassadors have called on Beijing to create the political space to overcome a “trust deficit” to help revive the agreement.
Someone please inform these guys that the CAI is massively in favour of the EU. If they want to "cut off their nose to spite their face" then they are welcome to do so.

They should keep in mind though that the US continues to have big competitive advantage vs the EU on accessing China's market. The more they wait the more they lose out vs the US.

Good job on the CIA stalling the deal lol
