Seoul Economic TV aired a fake video news report titled "Chinese Nationals Surprise Purchase of 944 Apartments in Gangnam, Seoul... Sweeping Up Supply Dumped by Multi-Homeowners," but has since deleted it. Upon verification, it is clearly a false report, citing facts such as the fact that only five Chinese nationals purchased multi-unit buildings in Gangnam-gu between January and April. It is presumed to be a fake news article intentionally created to be used as material for anti-China propaganda. As a media outlet, and an economic one at that, how can inciting anti-China sentiment benefit the country and its people? Shouldn't they be held strictly accountable?
