You use to see people like Scott Ritter and Jeffrey Sachs as pundits on TV news shows all the time. Now you don’t. Yeah there’s definitely an angle how the mainstream Western news media reports the news and if you don’t follow it, they don’t have you on anymore. Yeah the mainstream news is pretty undigestible these days with obvious bias especially when it comes Israel.

Yeah, exactly.

I do not follow politics, but I know that people Scott Ritter and Jeffrey Sachs have been in the public eye for well over two decades, and their personalities and beliefs do not seem to me to have changed one bit.

The former Marine and ex-UN-weapons inspector still an okay guy typically American with his optimism (well, he was optimistic in the past) and his straight talking nature. He was okay. Then the distinguished professor, he was always on the air too, with his informed opinions and balanced view.

I do not follow politics, so I never knew they were booted from mainstream media. LOL! Honestly, I never knew.

So when I found them again on these alternative channels on Youtube, I was happy, I was thinking where did all you guys go?

Then, watching these channels, which includes Prof Mearsheimer, who was another guy always in the mainstream media, but he got booted too. He did say that his views did not correspond to the mainstream view anymore so they never asked him back.

The mainstream media is really big on the censorship. It is a democracy and the majority will provide them the power to do whatever they want. When there is no other view, then it becomes easier to obtain that power.

Glad these old guys are still. They do not need to prove anything, they just speak their minds.

As @dingyibvs said, Professor Jiang is likely an idealistic Chinese Liberal who immigrated to West and became disillusioned about the West once he learned the hypocrisy and corruption. I don't think he is a spy as most of what he says is public info, what he says is logical and puts it in a structural that makes sense (based solely on his Iran content, unsure about other content). The Freemason quip is a bit suspect though, but I do think the world has some billionaire elite class colluding behind scene? I wouldn't be surprised. He hasn't criticized China in his videos apparently (aside from his 2017 article). Maybe he is now reformed after seeing Trump movement.

I agree with comrade dingyibvs that Professor Jiang sounds like a reformed Chinese Liberal, but I am not sure he is that. Although he does sound like that.

Professor Jiang in a video once talked about himself, and he came to Canada at 7 years old following his parents. He went to high school here in Toronto (like, I know someone from Toronto!) and then he went to Yale on a scholarship.

So, we cannot really say or expect what his worldview would be. It could be all over the place. But, he just does not come across as anti-China. He does come across as some intellectual, and you know, those intellectuals anyways complaining about something.

What I find about him that is curious to me, is his delivery of his lectures seem more Canadian than anything. Easy going, not overbearing. Patience with the kids. He is not a bad teacher.

So I find him to be a curious and weird kind of guy. That is why I like to listen to him once in a while. I am sure most of us here also know some curious and weird kind of Chinese guy in our lives, lol.

Frankly speaking, some of the stuff he said in his lectures, was absolutely nuts and crazy, like Freemanson and all that with those secret societies.

Then the Epstein files were released, and seems like Professor Jiang had his finger on the pulse.

After all, he did attend Yale. Haha!

You know, India might have been more of a threat if a competent PM like Singh was still in office. Thankfully we got Modi, who is great at playing internal politics and not much else, so he stays in power for a long time and does little.

Back in the day, people still used to debate the weakness and strengths of democracy, as practiced mainly in Western societies.

One criticism was that democracy was just mob rule.

That describes precisely India today.

As the mob enshrines more rights and privileges for themselves, it could plant the seeds for this system's destruction.

Does Modi care? Absolutely not.

LPG shortage in India. I wonder why. Hmm...

Some Indian news media said that up to 50% of India's restaurants have only enough gas for a few days. Dunno why the Indian government haven't thought about stocking up reserves. Especially when there was months of tensions in the Middle East.

This marriage between Motherland India and Fatherland Israel is working out so well.
