Maduro was obviously back stabbed. I don’t think some people understand that even if Russia or China chose to provided any support that it would have changed anything. China could give them dozens of fighter jets but it doesn’t matter if their internal security is about as secured as a block of Swiss cheese.
They were paid off to stand down as 2 slow helicopters flew over a full moon into the capital with zero resistance. Just like in Syria when the SAA was paid off by the CIA and disappeared into the void shortly after. There is no reason for China or Russia to provide significant support to a weak state that is irrelevant geopolitically and lacks strategic purposes due to its far distance.
The guy was clearly backstabbed.
Right, if you want Chinese support you need to demonstrate at a minimum you are going to put up a fight, in Chinese this would be called showing "United Front value". It's hardly unique to China, Ukraine was getting only symbolic support in early 2022 until they demonstrated they were going to put up a serious fight unlike 2014, only then did they start to receive some real support from the west.
Russia didn't get the same level of support in 2022 as they are these days, it only happened after their partial mobilisation in late 2022, demonstrating they are in fact taking the war seriously.
North Korea got tacit acknowledgment for their nuclear program only last year after KPA demonstrated they were an effective fighting force in Kursk.
Pakistan continues to enjoy their Iron Brother status by proving once again they had both the balls and the competence to take on the much larger IAF in the largest scale aerial combat in decades.
Conversely, Iran does the bare minimum in supporting their own Axis of Resistance, so they get only symbolic support from China too.
