Hong Kong's MTR Corporation announced on Monday that Metro Trains West Consortium, its joint venture with a subsidiary of Chinese train producer CRRC Corporation Limited, has won a major contract for the new Sydney Metro West project in New South Wales (NSW), Australia.

Under the contract, the consortium will provide next-generation metro trains and associated systems, as well as the commissioning and operation of the line connecting Sydney's major commercial and residential hub in the west, Parramatta, and the city center. With nine new stations, the brand-new 24-km underground metro railway line is targeted to commence service in 2032.

Its completely impossible for a soverign country with so called Bolivarian revolutionary government to just hand over their oil to Trump. Not even threat of a Nuke would make this happen. Every government has to maintain a semblence of self-respect. If this is true, Maduro loyalists will revolt right away.

I just don't believe this is true one bit. Most likely just Trump bluffing.

Japan government bond yields having been blowing out, all while the JPY weakens. This is a very bad sign since usually the currency should strengthen when bond yields rise. This may indicate investors fear a debt spiral and upcoming hyperinflation.

China's export restrictions apply even more pressure on this situation, since Japan would need to vastly increase spending to decouple and find new supply if they want to rearm.

My prediction is China will increase military spending to 3% of GDP in the upcoming 5 year plan and trigger an arms race for US and Japan. Both country's finances are on shaky ground and can ill afford to join the arms race.

Surprise surprise.
I have no doubt most people know such revolutions are not helpful and acctually make the situation worse.

All those social media posts about how happy Venezuelans are, just shows the amount of fake imagery present on US controlled platforms and US media.

Also, it does reaffirm some of China's strategy of not commiting to a single govt or leader and to work with all governments and systems in such countries. Leaders come and go but the system is a lot harder to change.
