Then why resume exports? Execute the nuclear option and be done with it. If you want a window of uncontested military buildup, cripple their production now while you still can. Every MOFSET, every REE magnet, every gram of bottleneck materials sold to the adversary is counterproductive to this singular goal.

The very fact that trade barriers are being lowered again suggests the CPC sees the relationship as salvageable.
I think that it's China new plan for dealing with Western perfidy: take a lesson from Lucy with the football and seemingly offer a juicy concession. If the West is acting in good faith, then they'll get some of what they want and the win-win relationship can continue. If the West is acting in bad faith, then they'll pull the football away at the last minute and let the West fall on its back and kill itself. It's a classic carrot-and-stick approach, and it's pretty brilliant because the West can't seem to see the hidden clauses that will wreck them.

The European Commission just demonstrated that they only see China as a resource to exploit and extract value from with their Horizon Europe shenanigans. We'll see if the CPC considers this to be bad faith or not.

I thought the Western alliance already did this years ago when they were taunting decoupling with China then changed it to de-risking because they didn't want China to decouple and still buy things from them? Oh yes that was when Europe was all bark and no bite. They didn't rip out Huawei and ZTE from their systems because that would be expensive replacing them. But now they're barking again saying they're really going to do it this time when it will cost even more now in a more dire Europe than ever. Unless they were still relying on Huawei and ZTE to maintain their equipment that was already bought and paid for, what does it do? Again... it's only barking.

I don't know if this is true because it would probably be making more noise on the news if were said exactly in that way especially since the West is spinning Chinese retaliation to their actions as unprovoked aggression. The Chinese don't go around telling everyone they need no one while everyone else needs them. They do that. That's why Europe is trying to desperately make the world think in order to save their legacy and relevancy.

Just like shinzo abe, evil people will have karma

btw im very sick of hearing this, how about some concrete moves instead of always talking. Even the US can find a way to completely stop us from buying cheap Russian oil, there is no way we cannot deal with Japan. Start with rare earths ban to anyone trading with Japan.

Also, why the fk is the facist words "Rising Sun" not banned? Imagine if Germany give someone the award "Grand Medal of the Swastika". What a disgusting country.
There is no problem with swastika award. We see many similar stuff in Ukraine. If the man decide this country should be sacrificed, any weird stuff goes. Ukraininization of Japan will start.

Man, what are you an expert in? You can't even read your own articles.

"The European Commission said Saturday (Nov 8) that Chinese authorities had confirmed a partial resumption of Nexperia chips, easing a blockage that has alarmed carmakers.

But Beijing announced at the weekend it would exempt some chips from the export ban, reportedly part of a trade deal agreed by President Xi Jinping and his US counterpart Donald Trump.

The exports will be allowed as long as the chips are only for "civilian use", Sefcovic added, saying the measure would take effect "immediately."

This is basically a half step down from climbing a staircase all the way to the top, to allow them to breathe they don't enter death throe struggles, while keeping them highly dependent and always uncomfortable. I think I read somewhere that further payments were all in RMB as well. This is a new normal heavily favoring China in the power dynamic. You're just childishly angry that a CCP which has always delivered results by tactically slicing away at Western power rather than using large and emotionally satisfying power moves, didn't go final battle on these Euro shits. And don't you forget, the Koreans, Japanese, EU cucks, they're all just puppets of the US. You could break their bones and crush their souls and they will still attack you again because that is their order and if they refuse to follow, they will be regime-changed for a leader who will follow any order from Washington. The CCP knows this but you don't. You're still batting angrily at all the little red dots while the CCP is melting down the projector without burning up the entire studio (WWIII).

What's stupider than that, you've directed your anger towards your own side missing the big picture that this year started with Trump trying to bring hell on China, threatening no negotiations without total capitulation first and 10 months in, the Orange Fuhrer flew to Seoul to personally flatter Xi with compliments and walk him to his car, in hopes of any small amount of partial reprieve from the seemingly effortless Chinese counteroffensive. And you're still bitching and moaning about it???
Taking a historical analogy- against an enemy similar to the Anglo led west ie the Xiongnu, these threats were not defeated by one massive Battle of The Pelennor Fields but rather, by a series of decades spanning campaigns designed to split them apart, weaken them and destroy them.

Then why resume exports? Execute the nuclear option and be done with it. If you want a window of uncontested military buildup, cripple their production now while you still can. Every MOFSET, every REE magnet, every gram of bottleneck materials sold to the adversary is counterproductive to this singular goal.

Because you still need to give strength to even any European hesitation and division of siding completely with the Anglos. Right now, the ukraine war splits the EU with recessions reported in almost every EU country where some states are on the verge of civil revolt. The Anglos want a pan western white mans crusade against China, why give them that chance? At least the REE curbs target military production so even if they’re aiming to rearm with Chinese components, it’ll be incredibly difficult not to mention provide fuel to Chinese intel to see where the REE is going. The fact that they’re trying to get China to join a G7 event is aimed at co-opting China like a pissant India as well as trying to split China from the global south by portraying China as joining with the west.

Then China should respond with ending collaboration with Europe in climate change, an area where they virtue signal a lot, the next time a European US vassal ask China over collaborating in some virtue signal area the correct response should "You are on you own", China need to get tough with these stooges "or either we collaborate or we don't"

Yeah I as I guessed, they only want collaborate with China in their Virtue Signal Crap. The correct response from China is that they should take their crappy Horizont program, print in paper, eat, defecate it and eat it again.

Europe is lagging in so many areas that is almost sad. Internet, Communications, AI, robotics, Energy, EVs, semiconductors <All the biggest pure and play foundries are outside Europe>, name the technology and they are either lagging or falling behind. The only to decent companies are ASML and Airbus. Where they are far ahead of everyone is in stringent regulations that kill startups before they are even born.

With collaborating with China, they could get access to funding, talent, know how and collaborate with one the best universities in the world like Tsinghua. But nope, Europeans lapdogs politicians decided that is best for the continent to appease the megalomaniac crazy politicians in W.D.C. that are leading their US to the ruins.
