First of all Bessent doesn't like the "P" word and I'll put in context "disrespectful and unhinged"-a Chinese official that is NOT fearful,submissive and weak-unlike perhaps TW or SK or Japan-he can't deal with it ,trading blow for blow by a peer/or more adversary.
I actually wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case; Asians in the anglosphere are “encouraged” via negative reinforcement to not be assertive and strong willed, and even further, Anglo society will ostracise white women who do associate with Asian men, this is most pronounced in a society like Australia which worships whiteness and has a perennial fear of Asia integral to its national identity.
