Yeah I kind of expect Venezuela military may fall relatively easy, but do you suppose there maybe insurgency afterwards?
It depends on what support they get from neighboring countries. Colombia is typically a US cuck country. But their current President is skeptical of the US. We will see. Brazil also talks a lot about being independent on its own subcontinent but many there are also US cucks.

For what it is worth the US just does not have enough troops in the field to invade Venezuela properly. What I think is way more likely is a naval blockade. Like I said Venezuela cannot feed itself.

This will keep happening until the time comes when China is willing to intervene. You can provide as much moral and even economic support as you like but if the other side is willing to use force don't expect your partners, especially distant ones, to last long even if they have the best intentions.
Is not only about willingness, it's about capability as well.

China currently doesn't have the military capability to credibly deter US from attacking Venezuela, that's it

Yeah China does not have the capability to deter US from attacking Venezuela yet. But I wonder if China can make the attempt a bloody messy one by dumping loads of low tech but highly effective insurgency weaponries into Venezuela, assuming the population has the will to fight

That was telegraphed from July. Unrelated to current situation with Bessent
His WTO representative post ended in April. Between April and now he's been doing handover with the next WTO presentative Li Yongjie who has now taken over the role fully.

Also back in April happening at the same time as his WTO representative post was ending Li Chenggang was promoted to vice minister of MOFCOM, the position that gives him standing to negotiate with Bessent.

It was even reported in western media back in April and everything...

are realizing that Washington knows jack all about how CPC bureaucracy operates and thus has zero predictive power on what China will do next, so every time Xi drops a card it comes as a surprise? This noise about Li Chenggang is just another example of that.
