What's for China to intervene. Let them bash their heads, get bloodied, then their heads will cool from this nonsense.I haven't read up too much on the situation, since typically outside of the SCS and Myanmar, SEA is a pretty quiet part of the globe geopolitically. But the conflict looks like it'll be localized and I'm not sure how much it can escalate, if nothing else for the fact that Cambodia in terms of armaments is hopelessly outmatched against Thailand.
The main thing I'm looking at is China. Even if I don't want to use this term, SEA is for all intents and purposes China's backyard, so China has to show it is capable of mediating disputes.
Let ASEAN work it out first. If they need help, they can then approach China. What's for China to intervene. Let them bash their heads, get bloodied, then their heads will cool from this nonsense.
It ok to once in a while let them fight it out a bit to vent their frustrations and then they can come back to the table
Fundamentally there are no big geopolitical issues between these 2 countries, so the reason why they are fighting is not a life and death matter.
