Let’s not forget the TACO probably applies to military confrontation as well. Remember during Trump’s first term North Korea was annoying the US and that’s where Trump’s derogatory nickname of “Rocket Man” and North Korea’s lesson in new English words “Dotard” came from. And then Trump folded and started writing love letters to Kim Jong Un. Trump is very aware that he doesn’t want to be blamed for American casualties and losses.

Lmao
Russia should just disband.

An embarrassment of a country, led by one of the biggest jokers in the world.
It's funny that for all the times I've seen patriotic Chinese online (tbf mostly English speaking ones) hyping up Sino-Russia ties as some kind of brotherhood, Russian nationalists always take the opposite stance of saying that China unlike Russia has no martial prowess evidenced by how badly of a beating they took from Japan and that they are just unscrupulously taking advantage of the whole war in their favor while Russians do the real fighting "in the name of global anti-NATO resistance."

In the end, they're not wrong about one thing. One side has always held the leash in the China-Russia partnership, and they're as delusional as Indians if they think its their nation.

During a US house hearing yesterday on this subject, the woman from US Center for Critical Minerals Strategy literally said, and I quote: "If China completely cut us off, we could look into sourcing from Japan or South Korea, as long as they weren't also cut off by China, which China has in the past also briefly cut off, so we'd have to look at who else China is cutting off"

Yep, as of June 2025 they still haven't look up China's export control is global. Honestly at this point I wouldn't be surprised if their plan for war with China involves buying Chinese stuff through Vietnam.

Regarding the recent Russian blunder, I'm honestly disappointed by the lack of foresight that some members have shown in this thread, stating that China should take back some territory and "secure the northern borders" while somehow ignoring that if they actually allowed Russia to collapse, China would be screwed for the same reason Russia would be screwed if Ukraine aligned with NATO: Super Duper long borders with plenty of flatlands, especially in the north, which would allow troops to easily storm in (look at Kursk) AND moutains, which impede radar coverage and would allow stealth aircraft and missiles to easily sneak in. These borders would require a ridiculous amount of soldiers and equipment to fully cover, something NATO can afford due to being a big alliance of multiple countries but China can't due to having to also deal with South Korea, philippines, Japan, India, maybe Vietnam and potentially even Australia. NATO, QUAD and others would have the possibility of employing multiple attack vectors for missiles and aircraft from nearly all sides along with being potentially able to ferment unrest in some far-off areas by exploiting holes along those "realistically impossible to secure borders" to smuggle agents, substances and weapons (like, say, ETIM). And did I even mention how it would allow the west and their allies to completely blockade China? Russia should never be allowed to lose and collapse or it will be GG WP for China.

China can potentially lace rare earth containers with FPV drones. Not remotely controlled ones but these.

Of course China is not scared. Morgan Stanley predicts that China will grow 3 times faster than the US in 2025 and 4 times faster in 2026.
...
After growing 2.8% in 2024 (2.5% 4Q/4Q), U.S. economic growth is likely to slow to 1.5% (1% 4Q/4Q) this year and 1% in 2026.
...
The economy (of China) should grow 4.5% in 2025 (4% 4Q/4Q) and 4.2% in 2026, slowing from 5% in 2024 (5.4% 4Q/4Q).

Apparently that is what Ukraine did, their drones had auto targetting. Strategic assets are usually easily recognizable and easy to train neural networks on. I don't really think there's any way to fully shield oneself from such an attack. Jamming can be bypassed by using AI or fiber optics. Exclusion zones can be bypassed by using bigger drones with more range. Having tighter security (like using many cameras througuout the country that are linked to a central server with an AI, that could alert the military if too many vehicles of a certain category approach many bases at once), dispersing forces and building light, cheap shelters might help mitigate their damage, but it wont fully protect against them.

Supposedly the drones were controlled via local cellular network with video feed
