Doesn’t the stupidity of this action have a slightly higher chance of succeeding if they have the brain cells not to tell the entire world what they are planning to do? It’s like someone telling the world that he is going to harm a persons girlfriend and then being surprised like a brain dead pikachu when the boyfriend of the girlfriend in question have a shotgun ready to blow his balls off

No, it sounds like normal mandarin to me. What giving it away i actually can't tell
It sounds like a Westerner attempting to speak Mandarin with the tone contours all off. And he speaks with a moderate to thick Southern China accent, like he learnt it in Taiwan, Malaysia or Singapore; you can hear the way he pronounces e.g. qi3 as /ts/ instead of /tɕ/, xiang1 as /s/ instead of /ɕ/ or shi4 as /ɕ/ instead of /ʂ/. And I have met Westerners that speak better than him

My money's on: English script, machine translation, AI voice.
Deepseek can probably write a better script for them if CIA had anyone who knows Chinese.

Nobody who speaks mandarin can listen to this without an intense feeling of cringe.

Bad grammar, wrong inflection, pause at wrong places, weird choice of words, almost like a scam email that deliberately make mistakes to filter out people with IQ greater than 70
