Long term strategy to keep Chinese surroundings unstable. First, Russia, then we've had terrorists hitting Belt and Road in Pakistan and soft targets like civilians (PK and CN) using advanced NATO weapons.

China is exceptionally nice to India, probably because its too small a fish (right now) ignoring that India is already actively engaged in a proxy warfare against Chinese interests.

I think its a major strategic white space not replying to India in kind.

And Walmart thought at first they could get China to eat Trump’s tariff so they didn’t have to pay it…? This is where you have question how evil are they. If China only makes pennies on each dollar Walmart sells products made by Chinese, is the tariff on the landed cost to Walmart or is it from the retail price? Because if Walmart was pressuring Chinese companies to pay the tariff based on the retail price, the Chinese make no money for themselves.

There reaction so far is just noise, nothing substantial as typical of India.

They dont have infrastructure to stop water flow. It will take decades and billions. China can just block the entire thing and probably have infra in place much before. They know this.

Regarding visas, consular staff and border show , nobody genuinely cares, in Pakistani social media, whats trending are some celeb leaks lmao.

We're just living rent-free. Theyre just compensating for their self created complexes.

Meaning, hopefully, the potential for more fireworks this time around. As foreseen by me a few years ago for the next inevitable flareup between these 2 (the US trending more pro-India and anti-Pak because of China, thereby being less able to play the crucial mediator/defusing role it has in past instances), but I wasn't quite expecting Trump to be so shamelessly pro-BJP.

I'm sort of getting why China doesn't really waste much time and energy on India. At the rate things go, maybe India and Pakistan will end up nuking each other before China even thinks seriously about implementing the plan to take Taiwan by force.

So instead maybe China should think more on keeping itself safe from the rest of the world first since everywhere else seems to be turning into a mess. Build force fields or ways to nullify nukes.

I saw Jake Sullivan being interviewed and he was talking about how Trump squandered away all what the US has built in reputation. He pointed to how the US can draw tech talent from the 7 billion people world while China only has a billion. Well apparently China’s one billion is a whole lot higher quality than the US’s 7 billion and a lot of it was displayed under his President’s watch.

it might spillover into a muslim vs hindu internal conflict. the more india overreacts towards their muslim population (which is majority of kashmir) the more likely. this will keep the country continually paralyzed and preoccupied for another decade. by then automation would've made a billion of their low skill workers a crippling burden rather than another potential China.
