China space launch schedule

Hi!

Sorry if this isn't the right place to put this question, but I'm looking for informations regarding the Chinese space launch schedule.

I was expecting two launches this month: ZX-9 ZhongXing-9 and TL-1 TianLian-1.

Can anyone help me with this or point me in the right direction?!

Thank your very much for any help!!!

FLS-1 System on board?

FLS-1

Naval version of QW-3 with launcher looks very similar to that of RIM-116 Rolling Airframe Missile externally. Although many Chinese media sources claim that it is the equivalent of RIM-116 Rolling Airframe Missile, with the total weight less than a ton (a single launcher containing missiles). When QW-3 missiles are used, the FLS-1 system actually lacks the fire-and-forget capability of the RAM. However, the FLS-1 system can also be used to deploy the infrared guided TY-90, and thus becoming a fire-and-forget capable SAM system like American RIM-116 Rolling Airframe Missile. The fire control system includes radar and electro-optics, that can be either dedicated or utilizing the existing systems on board the naval vessel. The FLS-1 system with QW-3 missiles has been retrofitted to fast attack craft of the PLAN, but FLS-1 system with TY-90 has not entered services (as of 2008) despite successfully completing acceptance tests and receiving state certification.

Although naval versions of other members of QW family have been successfully developed, they were not accepted into service with the exception of FLS-1. Instead, the Chinese deploy other QW missiles in the similar way United States Navy deploys FIM-92 Stinger missiles on board ships: sailors and marines on board ships were organized into MANPAD Gunnery Detachment to station on board ships, and fire the missile like the way the missiles are shoulder-fired on land.

I looked this FLS-1 up and found nothing but that paragraph at wikipedia..... That should be a hint. Wikipedia is not a good source of information at times. It is possible that the FLS-1 system is a hoax. Remember that ANYONE can post whatever info they want on wikipedia.

actually I remember seeing the brochure of FLS 1 in this board months ago, I just couldn't find it anymore. It was installed on board of fast attack craft.

Infantry Automatic Rifle

I know that Norfolk has discussed this here and on his blog, and a lot of other people here are very knowledgeable about squad level infantry tactics, so I'm asking what do you think of the LWRC Infantry Automatic Rifle?

It's the size of an M-4 but has a very high rate of fire. It's basically intended to do the job of the SAW.
To me it smacks of when the US Army flirted with putting a bipod and bigger magazine on the M-16 and saying it was an LMG for surpressive fire. Obviously that didn't work too well, and I want to know do you think that this weapon is sort of heading down the same path? Does a squad need to have a dedicated, larger LMG or LMG-type weapon or can this type of hybrid fit that requirement?
