Who did you serve with Isthvan ? which country ? Apols if you have answered this before ! I am new here :)

Agreed on ambush drill point - such fire may not be accurate but if it makes the bad guys keep their heads down and/or sets off their aim, it improves your own chances of returning to fight another day.

No problem grahamsh, I have served as conscript in Croatian Military Police… Nothing special, but wary interesting because most of NCO had combat experience and had the will to share that experience whit us conscripts.

Romanian AF Base

Hi, this is my first post and I hope this is not off topic.

45°48'43.45"N 21°20'15.94"E

The Romanian AF Base Giarmata with a lot of MIG-21 and MIG-23 on the runway and parking areas. There are also 2 white areas which look like censored storage areas or anti aircraft sites. Could this be right?

The thread you posted that question in was for Chinese general military discussion. Any questions about the worlds military should be posted here in the FAQ thread.

...well, general performance...Mostly it means that the both aircraft are at same size and weight, have similar trust engine, somewhat coparable aerodynamical charestirestics and similar performance radar and weaponry.

I will let Americans reply re US use, but the British Army still had some kicking around in the early 1980s - I know 'cos I fired one. Awesome ! We ahd them mounted on some AFVs, e.g. Ferret scout car, maybe that is why they were kept.

Hi
just trying to figure out how does a fire control system work on a tank
what are the procedures of firing and stuff like that

plus
does a modern tank have any radar? (dont see the spinning thing lol :D )
or does it rely on other means of detection (eg, GPS)
coz using a radar will make them be easier to detect

moreover how does the "laser dazzler" on the Type 99 work?
does it damage the optics or scramble the fire control systems of the nemy tank

Wrong thread, buddy. This belongs to the FAQ thread.
Moved there and redirected.

thanks for any help

Hmmmm....That reminds me of one of the Chinese WIG projects, but I am not sure which one it is, if at all...I have seen it before somewhere....

I think it was called Project 714, or something.
