Yup, Communism must really be dead when you see all the patriotic songs sung by the Soviet Union and the People's Red Army extolling the glories of the Proletariat and the Revolution---all available now in Apple's iTunes store for a mere 99 Lincoln pennies each.

Just a most interesting discovery when browsing through the Apple iTunes store.

Ive got a big collection of various comemorative badges maybe I should try selling some:)

Ever see those Russian Generals on Parade day on U tube, they'e got so many medals they reach down to their navel. I wonder what you have to do to earn so many medals.

I heard there are Communist themed coffee shops in some of the big cities in China. Tourists, expats, and yuppies can sip their lattes while waiters and waitresses dressed up in old PLA uniforms singing Red Army operas extolling the virtues of Proletariat Revolution.

That would be interesting, over here a few years ago there used to be some chinese students (girls) that came over for Engliish studies and they wore the old PLA uniforms with the Red Star on the cloth cap with the satchel thingy, as a fashion statement I think.

Sounds like Mao has become an unwitting franchise. His descendants though, only collect the royalties from his book.

It seems ironic that Mao's family lives on though a capitalist device called copyrights and royalties.

I think Mao would not be too offended, even if the system that improved the quality of Chinese people's lives was not the one he had in mind.

They must have had messy break-ups and wanted to keep guys away from them. Sort of a "no-dating" pact. :D

If Mao is turning in his grave it's because he's not cashing in on this! ;)
