Kashmir: news only, no discussion

We are well aware of bias currently but the western media is too strong and fixated on China. There is nothing a few dozen English speaking Chinese can do.

Talking about Kashmir is pointless on SDF because we all know the situation is likely very bad. When we bring it up to Western audience they flat out ignore. They know their hypocrisy but it is intentional because China might overtake them.

How bad things are we don’t know because of media blackout and we don’t speak Urdu and can’t read the social media . However, many of us frequent PDF to get update of things.

@timepass
Exactly....

Your focus and expectations are absurdly misplaced, of course nobody is talking about Kashmir in a thread about Hong Kong in an English language military forum about China.
Your reply is seems out of context... please read my post 2046....

Especially when most posters in this forum are not from Kashmir nor nearby, therefore are not particularly familiar with what is happening there, do not have the local language skills nor local insight to offer nor any special ability to evaluate any relevant insights offered.

Feel free to advocate in the relevant threads, interrupting other threads is not going to help.
Yes thread is existing
Kashmir: news only, no discussion

and all posts are there in English but non bothered here on SDF....

Its really pathetic ..... even here on this very forum (Hong Kong Thread reached to 200 pages), while non of the member bothered to talk about the humanity crisis in Kashmir...where people are under siege for more than 60 days .... with several hundred lost their lives in last 60 days .... several are arrested .... ladies got rapped ..... and so on....

But non of members bothered to talk.... really pathetic .... pathetic...

WHERE IS THE HUMANITY...
I hate to say it because Kashmir Muslims are no threat to the western power status quo for them to care about. China on the other hand does. That's why the Western media focuses on the Hong Kong issues more EVEN when there is NO DEATH after all these months. They need to keep the narrative that communist China is bad and they are good mantra. The west will not sympathize with any Muslim group unless it benefits them.

Kashmir's youngest pellet gun victim could lose complete sight
Security forces struck 18-month-old Hiba Nasir as her mother tried to protect her at home during clashes with rebels.
@timepass
Just to note I have been posting articles on Reddit for a long time and Indians call all muslims terrorists and downvote all the Kashmir posts before it could get popular.

I would not expect coverage of Kashmir to get better. India is a US ally and important counter to China.

US helped to whitewash Japanese war crimes after WWII. The world outside of East Asia barely knows about Japanese atrocities.

If Russia gets a new president and helps the US against China, all the bad news about Russia will also go away as well.

There are millions of easily preventable deaths across the globe that can be fixed by simple improvements in infrastructure or education. Yet no one really cares about those millions of people.

Just accept that Pakistan is weak and the West dominates global media. It will be 20-30 years before Asians have that sort of influence.

(Not familiar with the subject, did some reading and giving brief thoughts)

I suspect that Pakistan's fate is now tied to that of China's. If the Mainland were to go down, there'd be nothing to stop India to finally take over the disputed territories short of full on war. China's in no spot to go wade into the Kashmir issue right now when multiple interests are trying to tear apart the country. The PRC hasn't forgotten Pakistan, the all-weather friends they are, but fighting one battle at a time. If India were to push into actual Pakistan administered territory, I strongly believe there would be quiet words whispered to Modi that the Chinese would not tolerate it at all AKA military intervention.

am curious what development would it be -- according to you -- causing continental China ("the Mainland") "to go down" please
