Re: JH-7/JH-7A Thread

an JH-7A crashed in local water near yantai on August 4,the aircraft is belong to the Naval Aviation Department, two pilots were dead in the air crash,in recent, this is the second FBC-1‘s crash
I think the type of aircraft is not the key to these crrashes.
lacking practical experience or training is the whole difficulty.
I guess these pilots have no ability to hedgehop.

so if china has aviation problems its the lack of piloting experiance, but if its western aviation then its mechanical failure??

JH-7A is quite new. Of cos, mechanical failure may happen but most likely. The pilot will bail out. But in these case, 2 pilots perished. Mostly is due to pilot error in low level attack exercise.

Not so... if you read accident reports for various aviation accidents (both civil and military), they very closely examine the judgement of the pilots. So, although there may have been mechanical problems, the situation may have been aggravated by pilot error.

Military combat jets aren't built for safety like 747's. I'm not sure what the crash rate for PLAAF is, but for NATO aircraft it's 4-5 per 100,000 flying hours.

Generally speaking, human error accounts for 40% of the crashes, while mechanical failure, bird strikes, etc. account for the rest.

This was in July. I haven't heard anything of the second accident in August 4, until now. Any news to confirm this?

Re: JH-7/JH-7A Thread

the picture was solid evidence showing the annual output of JH-7A, we can see the assemblage of parts of 3 JH-7A were accomplished and other 2 aircrafts were assembled in
the factory, this is half of Assembly shop, according to my view,4 JH-7A were finished in one month, they have the ablity to reach a surprising number during one year-2 regiment‘ aircrafts
