Why are the bomber's HP bunched near the tips? Can't China put the HPs closer to the body?

Wow...that is defintely the clearest, most detailed picture of the jh-7A cockpit weve seen so far. Nice work.

Lets see...two color MFDs(maybe a thid one under the one on the far side), HUD, no HMS(so it is solely ground attack). Not exactly cuttung edge, but not bad.

Can't be clear ir there is no HMS or not. The dashboard appears to have some objects that could potentially be positional sensors.

That's most likely the warning/caution lights. I wonder what the Chinese version of Bitch'n Betty is like. :D

The gloves . . . yeah, I'm on the gloves again. They have got to be awful when it comes to tactile feedbacks. Why is such a basic item so woefully obsolete for the PLA?

PL-5 is not obsolete...not the latest variant anyway. Besides, the wing tip rails were designed in the 70s, with PL-5 in mind, remember that PL-8 wasnt in service during then.

If PLANAF was the only air force responsible for anti-ship strikes, then that is sad sad sad news for China. Considering taking down an aircraft carrier will depend on considerable air power...

China does not have the luxuries of having huge numbers of Badgers and Backfires as the Soviet Navy had.

I've been waiting to see a clear shot of the cockpit for this aircraft. Looks very impressive. I've seen how it would be configured, but never an actual photo. Does anybody have a shot of the rear-cockpit? I'd be interested to see what they got back there in the JH-7 rear.

Re: Jh-7 thread

according to Huitong, this is the rear cockpit. I don't know if it's true, but it does look different from the other one and does not have a hud.

Re: Jh-7 thread

They ran out of Speys long time ago building the two regiments of JH-7s plus prototypes and spares. All the JH-7As got WS-9s.
