Dear, you need to see a photograph believe me. For this reason I tell you to wait and you will see for yourself.

Sorry in case I'm annoying you - and indeed I'm almost famous for always demanding photographic evidence - but I'm already since so long around in this scene and all over "new members" pop up and claim this and that, tell us "I know" and "wait, you'll see" since "this is logical" and most of these simply vanished into nothing.

As such, forgive me if I put you too in the same box until we know more about your credibility and background in order to believe in your claims.

I think it was probably because J-10 had never been exported before. Translating manuals, training programs, software, etc would take time. Doing this for a small order might not have made sense. And back then there was no Chinese engine for J-10 in service in large numbers. Right now I think things would be different.

that's weird. Maybe now that UK keeps sending congressional delegate to Taiwan, China can offer J-10s to Argentina.
I remember this happened a long time ago, 2014-2016, long before even the first J-10C but because there was no export version of the J-10 yet and they didnt have the money to finance development

If the Argentine's asked now, they'd probably get it.

Argentina’s economy and military are in too poor of a shape for the J10. Even if China gifted them to Argentina, their pilots would not get enough flight hours to do the plane justice.

While selling arms to Argentina to needle the British would be satisfying, it’s not worth the costs of a batch of J10s.

Hell, geographically, Argentina is just too far from China and too close to America, one CIA coup later and those J10s would be flying as aggressors in the USAF.

Argentina is basically a textbook example for why the JF17 exists. Any fighter sales to Argentina would be a purely commercial deal that would not jeopardies Chinese national security even if those planes end up in American hands.

Could JL-10s be the substitute for J-10s instead? JL-10 has already seen service in several countries besides China.

You realised JL10s are just trainers right?!

JL10s are excellent advanced trainers and can take on air policing and light COIN work, and would arguably be much more suitable to Argentina’s current needs and means, but that’s not what the they are shopping for.

The JL-10 is a little bit more than a trainer; is a truly Attack Trainer with an impressive array of A-A/A-S armament. My thoughts for an Argentine Air Force new order of battle sees at JL-10 as a A-4AR replacement and J-10CE as Multi Role Fighter in order to find a most wanted and waited replacement of th Mirage/Dagger/Finger family.
