Is that supposed to be azerbaijani or pakistani? I can't see the flag on the tail.

SO let me get this straight; the Reg-# starts with YY (year of manufacturing) - BCD (B=Block 1,2,3,etc, CD=Airframe number)
NOW if its a JF-17B (dual seater) the B is simply multiplied by TWO?
Linke the single seater version shall skip a possible block 6 to avoid confussion?

I wonder if they'll retrofit block 1s with HMDs or only after they MLU them to block 3 standards, surely these can be upgraded relatively easily

The numbering scheme of 621 clearly shows that these birds are intentioned for the Azerbijani airforce. As to whether the Azerbijan airforce will repaint them into a new camoflague scheme, is up for debate and an unknown for now. I will be suprised if they adopted the PAF schema permanently (imho).

Care to explain? So far ALL PAF-JF-17B have numbers starting with 6xx!!
