Hi,

Egypt is very limited on BVR missiles ability. So it will most probably BLK 3 with aesa, BVR capable and air to air refuel capability.

Didn't Egypt just signed on to buy the Rafale? Why would they want to get the JF-17 if they are going to have the Rafale's soon?

Till now only Rafale fighter is confirm & that too just 24 I think, Egypt is interested to purchase just 46 MiG-35, Egyptian F-16s are non BVR fighters on the other hand suggested JV for BVR capable JF-17 is suitable replacement to their Mirag-V, MiG-21 & J-7 which are around 200 in numbers so if that deal go through I accept at least 100 to 125 jets in Egyptian Air force inventory

The government is holding discussions with several countries, including India and Pakistan, to strengthen Sri Lanka's military, State Minister of Defence Ruwan Wijewardene informed Parliament yesterday.

Speaking during the Committee Stage debate on the 2016 Budget, Mr. Wijewardene said India was expected to provide two war ships to Sri Lanka, while talks had already begun with Pakistan to obtain new aircraft for the Air Force.

He said several other countries had also offered assistance to help Sri Lanka's military become on par with other advanced military forces in the world.

The Egypt deal was all but sealed and then the Arab Spring happened. I would imagine if they want resume it, it will be within the context of original discussions.
