I don't think I understood your question completely buddy :D , but this aircraft has two names , JF-17 Thunder is used mainly by Pakistanis and FC-1 is internal Chinese designation ( Chengdu Aircraft Corporation designation) .

I think this jf-17 is more nice that's FC-1. Pakistan have one world class deseyner. Great for Pakistan's army industry.

Sorry, even if I maybe can understand Your enthusiasm I would like to a beg You to calm down a bit ... and even more FC-1 is simply the Chinese designation for JF-17.

@vesicles , @plawolf Just a a couple of points

- I don't think China would want to replace J-7 , essentially low cost, light fighter with simple maintenance , with huge J-11B . Flankers are more of high tier aircraft, with much higher cost both to procure and to operate .

- AL-31 is an imported engine and China is unable to produce each and every part for it, and more importantly it is not able to produce those engines from the scratch . In case of Russia refusing to sell (no matter how unlikely that looks now ) , China would not be able to increase number of airframes it operates . It is somewhat similar to problems Iran has with its F-5, F-4 and F-14 .

- Would JF-17 create logistic nightmare if introduced in PLAAF ? Well, actually no . PLAAF already operates several different fighters with diverse engines - J-7 , J-8, J-10 A & B, J-11 A & B , JH-7 , Su-30MKK and MK2 . Replacing J-7 (and possibly J-8) with JF-17 would not deteriorate situation that much .

Keep in mind that there is no "one-to-one" replacement for J-7s. A single J-11 can replace at least five J-7s due to its greater weapons capacity, range, and endurance.

FC-1 is chinese deseyner and jf-17 is Pakistani, right??? But Pakistani will buy both two of those, right??

No matter what you say, there is no chance what-so-ever that China will deploy the JF-17. End of story. I don't see any point arguing about it.

It's only a matter of name .... it's one aircraft simply named FC-1/JF-17, as such the PAF will not buy both types since there's only one.
