Aw c'mon I can't see the engine configuration of the model from here
Model of the engine, presumably WS-19, seems to have engine blocker. This further supports the assertion that the “customer had higher requirements for stealth” for J-35A.
Ooooh yes good catch. Matches up with the patents I posted before.
Hmm, on second thought, if you look closely both the LP and HP spool seems to be rotating in the same direction. If this model is representative to an actual engine it might not be the WS-19 then.
this small model represent the Engine in context with J-35A. they showcase this pruposely in this footage in order to tell J-35A entered in serial production with its desginated engine.
one more, this piece of toy is too small to describe anything.
Judging by the sheer amount of patches/badges on his chest, THIS IS OUR GUY for inside info. I won’t be surprised if he’s already on this thread

The canopy detonation cord is still the old style, and some of the sensor antennas used for testing are still there.
If we rule out post-production editing of the video, the nose has the English “AVIC” lettering painted on it, so it should be an in-house retained aircraft. Whether it could serve as a demonstrator for the wealthy Gulf clients is hard to say.
