J-35 naval variant has three screens but J-35A has a single large one I thought.

We have good, relatively clear imagery of J-35A's cockpit from the CCTV clip.

We don't have quite equivalent good imagery of J-35's cockpit yet, and that picture from the 9-3 parade isn't sufficiently good to call the cockpit display configuration yet, imo.

I would wait for better imagery for J-35 yet before calling it for that aircraft.

Is this the photo that you are referring to? I think the supposed frames of separate screens could be just reflections of the top panel/screen on the large screen. The top panel and the "frames" looks very mirrored.

Yeah that's the one, and yes now that I take another look at it it's a lot less clearer than I remembered it to be. I agree with you and Blitzo's assessment (as always LOL) on waiting for clearer photos.

I'm not sure if this has been posted before, but the Chinese designation for the J-35A has been confirmed as "云龙 Yunlong." The source is a screenshot from the CCTV Military program "Military Enthusiast's Eye" shared on the official media WeChat account. However, with so many official videos and posts, I haven't been able to trace the earliest source of this information yet.

Another gripe: When I searched for "Chinese weapons" on Deepseek, it immediately stopped processing my query. This is because the Chinese government earlier mandated that AI companies also restrict and censor military-related content. However, when I subsequently used Doubao and Baidu's AI, they were able to answer questions about Chinese military equipment without issue.
